Learn more about getting to the Victorian Heart Hospital.

The Victorian Heart Hospital is located at 631 Blackburn Road, Clayton, VIC 3168. 

The entrance is on Blackburn Road near the corner of Wellington Road, opposite the Australian Synchrotron. 

It is close to Monash Medical Centre in Clayton (approximately 3km).

Coming by car  

Look out for the Victorian Heart Hospital entrance on the Monash University side of Blackburn Road. The hospital is located next to the Monash University sporting fields.

Traffic lights at the entrance on Blackburn Road will make it easy to turn into the hospital, whichever direction you are coming from.

Please note, the Victorian Heart Hospital car park is not managed by Monash Health. It is managed by Ace Parking, under contract from Monash University.

Where to park

An underground car park is available for patients and staff. Drive in the Victorian Heart Hospital entrance and turn left into the underground car park, just before the turning circle in front of the hospital’s main entry doors.  

Elevators in the car park will take you directly up to the hospital ground floor check-in area.  

Public transport  

Coming by train  

The train stations nearest to the Victorian Heart Hospital are:  

Clayton train station (3.2km) – on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines  

Connect from Clayton station to the hospital via bus 703 towards Blackburn, boarding at Clayton Shopping Plaza (Clayton SC) on Clayton Road stop 6476 and alighting at the Victorian Heart Hospital on Blackburn Road.  

Westall train station (3.3km) – on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines  

There are no bus routes that connect to the hospital. You will need to catch a taxi or ride share.  

Syndal train station (4.3km) – on the Glen Waverley line  

Connect from Syndal station to the hospital via bus 703 to Middle Brighton or bus 737 to Monash University, alighting at the Monash Biomedical Imaging bus stop 16206 on Blackburn Road.

Coming by bus  

The public bus stop in front of the Victorian Heart Hospital is serviced by the following bus routes:

Route 703 ­– Middle Brighton to Blackburn (via Bentleigh, Clayton and Monash University)

Route 737 – Croydon to Monash University (via Boronia, Knox City Shopping Centre and Glen Waverley)

Bus 703 to Blackburn will take you from the front of Monash Medical Centre main entrance to the Victorian Heart Hospital on Blackburn Road (8 stops).

When you arrive for your appointment  

To check in for your appointment, find the check-in kiosks on the Ground Floor or Level 1 of the hospital. Here you can swipe your Medicare card, scan the barcode on your appointment letter, or type in your name and date of birth.

Once checked in you can relax in one of our waiting areas, grab a refreshment from the café, or take in some fresh air in the courtyard.

The screens in the indoor seating areas provide live updates on appointment times, so you’ll know exactly where you are in the queue and how much time until the clinic is ready to see you.

When you are the next patient to be seen, proceed to the appointment location. You may need to take the elevator to another level.
