Since it opened two years ago, the Victorian Heart Hospital (VHH) has saved over 20,000 lives.
To recognise its two-year anniversary, the Herald Sun published a 5-page feature titled ‘Victorian Heart Hospital: A place where lives are saved’.
Members of the VHH team, led by Professor Steve Nicholls, spoke with the Herald Sun to provide insights into the happenings at Australia’s first dedicated cardiac hospital. Two of our patients, Simon and Judith, also shared their journeys of care and recovery.
Of the team who have cared for her, Judith said they are ‘absolutely marvellous’.
‘I haven’t been in hospital for 20 years and they have just been so helpful. I knew it was a big thing, but I didn’t have any fear.’
